In addition a great lineup of general sessions and workshops for this year's APSE/AWSM summer conference in Chicago, there is a fun schedule of extracirricular activies set for this week.
 
On Friday, those who purchased their tickets in advance will watch the Milwaukee Brewers play the Chicago White Sox at US Cellular Field. Buses start departing at 5:10 p.m. (Use the main exit to Rush Street. Buses will be across the street.
Those wanting to get in a little exercise now have two options — the now annual APSE 5k and a new 3-on-3 basketball tournament.
 
CRAIG STANKE MEMORIAL APSE 5K
 
This year's 5K has been renamed in memory of APSE member Craig Stanke, deputy managing editor of CBSSports.com. Stanke, 56, died in his sleep May 29. This fun run will take place at 1 p.m. CT Saturday at Grant Park (337 E. Randolph Street).

APSE 3on3 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT
 
Format: Half court, single elimination.
Site: Windy City Fieldhouse, 2367 W. Logan Blvd., Chicago, IL 60647
Date/time: Saturday, June 23; 2-4 p.m. Plan on getting there by 1:30 to warm up.
 
Rules
 
–Standard field goals are worth one point.
 
–Field goals beyond the arc are worth two points.
 
–First team to 12 wins, but you must win by two points. Overtime: First team to 15 wins, even if only by one point.
 
–Ball changes possession after each made basket. No make it, take it.
 
–Ball must “go back” or “be cleared” to the free-throw line after each possession.
 
–After all successful shots, the ball must be checked by the defense and handed to the offense.
 
–Call own fouls. Non-shooting fouls result in possession. Shooting fouls result in free throws.
