The Mid-Atlantic region meeting is set for Monday, April 14, at the University of Maryland and it offers a lineup that includes a bit of everything.

Three of the best sports editors in the country — Ron Fritz of the Baltimore Sun, Jerry Micco of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and John Quinn of the Philadelphia Inquirer — will be on a panel to discuss ethics, guidelines and rules in our ever-changing business.  Each of them runs a big department with lots of moving parts and keeping up with all those parts can be a challenge.  How do they do it and how can what they do help you?

The lineup also have a design seminar, an interview with a wrestling coach who isn't real happy with the International Olympic Committee and a student-led session where attendees can learn a few things from an outstanding group of aspiring journalists from the University of Maryland.

The day also includes breakfast and lunch.

The hotel deadline has passed but region chair Mike Harris says he might be able to assist. Contact him at mharris@washingtontimes.com.

Cost is a mere $25.  But if you bring a guest who is eligible to join APSE and is not a member, both of you get in for no charge.  Share this with your writers as they are welcome to attend and welcome to join APSE.
