The Times Record in Brunswick Maine is seeking a full-time sports reporter to join their team.
This position will cover local sports in the southern Midcoast Maine area including:
- Local high school home and away games
- Bowdoin college home and away games
- Community sporting events (such as but not limited to, Legion games, local Recreation Department games, Little League, etc.);
The Sports Reporter is also responsible for:
- Producing high-quality photos of sporting events
- Paginating sports pages
- Coordinating coverage with other reporters within Masthead Maine’s network of papers
- Filling in for the Sports Editor as needed

Our Ideal Candidate has:
- Previous journalism experience (specifically in sports)
- A passion for local sports
- Basic photography knowledge and experience
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to travel throughout the Midcoast to cover games
- College degree or equivalent experience
