8:30 a.m.: Introduction/Welcome. We’ll have some light refreshments available for everyone.

8:45-9:45 a.m.: “Covering the big event.” With the U.S. Open golf tournament coming to Chambers Bay in June, what goes into planning and executing coverage that is dynamic on multiple platforms? We’ll highlight the recent work of papers in our region (Spokane Spokesman-Review with the Gonzaga men’s basketball team, Eugene Register-Guard with the Oregon football team, The Seattle Times with the Seahawks) to share ideas and spark discussion. 10-11 a.m.: Featured speaker, Seattle University Athletic Director Bill Hogan.

11:15-12:15 p.m.: WIAA executive director Mike Colbrese and sports and activities information director Conor Laffey. Moderator: Nathan Joyce, sports editor, Kitsap Sun

12:15:1:45 p.m.: Break for lunch.

1:45-2:45 p.m.: Associated Press panel. Panelists: Tim Booth, AP sports writer and Ed Montes, AP West Regional sports editor

3-4 p.m.: “Reverse panel” with students and recent college graduates.
