It’s been awhile since the APSE Great Lakes region got together, so the group will gather for a virtual conference on Zoom at 1 p.m. Central time on Wednesday, May 18.
At the meeting we will reconnect and discuss future region meetings; preview and answer member questions about the summer conference in Indianapolis in June; and delve into work-life balance and how the pandemic created greater urgency to combat burnout and find ways to unplug.
The Great Lakes Region is for APSE members and student chapters in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin. Kyle is the group sports editor for Shaw Media, which serves communities in the Chicago suburbs and northern Illinois.
Kyle is also accepting nominations for vice chair to help him develop programming to keep the region active in the coming year. The vice chair will become region chair in June 2023. We’d like to have at least two candidates to vote on following the summer convention next month.
