Greg Rajan, the sports editor of the Corpus Christi Caller-Times since February 2013, has been elected as the vice chair for the Southwest region. Rajan will take over as region chair at the conclusion of the June conference in 2015, when Nick Mathews' two-year term as chair has concluded.
Rajan has been the sports editor at the Corpus Christi Caller-Times since February 2013. Before that, he was a reporter there for nine years, covering minor league baseball and hockey and high schools. He also worked a year on the sports desk at the paper. Before that, he worked at the Temple Daily Telegram as a sports reporter/copy editor and at the Austin American-Statesman as an agate clerk. He is a graduate of Southwest Texas State University and is from Austin.
