The Kansas City Star is looking for a full-time beat reporter to cover University of Missouri athletics.
Qualifications:
- Prior newsroom reporting experience in a daily newspaper or website environment or student newsroom.
- Proven sourcing and interviewing skills and the ability to write in/for a range of styles and platforms, including social media, breaking news and features.
- Excellent news judgment and a demonstrated ability to “see the story” that is going to matter to readers.
- Comfort with a job that will be demanding, fast-paced and constantly evolving.
- Residence in Columbia, Mo., or willingness to relocate.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree preferred.
