The Wilkes-Barre Times Leader newspaper is looking for a full-time sports reporter. The job will include covering high school sports such as boys soccer, high school wrestling and high school football. There will also be the chance to cover area college athletics and the New York Yankees Triple-A team, the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. You should be able to write game stories on deadlines, long-form features and have experience in social media platforms. The position will also require working desk shifts and editing copy, so a background in AP Style is a must.
