MuddyRiverSports.com is dedicated to providing blanket coverage of prep and college sports in an eight-county region spanning both sides of the Mississippi River. The goal is to provide information that goes beyond the box score by utilizing opinion pieces, podcasts and video interviews to bolster other stories.
We are averaging 20,000 unique visitors per month and are on pace to top 30,000 in October. Our reach on social media has grown to 1,600 followers on Twitter and 1,000 followers on Facebook in just two months.
I previously was a member of APSE while working at the Quincy Herald-Whig. I benefited from the professional relationships APSE creates and enjoyed being a part of the contest each year as a judge.
