MuddyRiverSports.com‘s application to join APSE was approved by a vote of the executive committee.
The site is dedicated to providing blanket coverage of prep and college sports in an eight-county region spanning both sides of the Mississippi River in Illinois and Missouri. The goal is provide information that goes beyond the box score by utilizing opinion pieces, podcasts and video interviews to bolster other stories.
The site averages 20,000 unique visitors per month. Its reach on social media has grown to 1,600 followers on Twitter and 1,000 followers on Facebook in just two months.
