  • Lee Vernoy retired as a sports reporter at the Great Falls Tribune in Helena, Montana.
  • Terrin Waack joined The Advocate in New Orleans to cover the Saints. She was previously with NASCAR. 
  • Ryan Walker started as a sports editor at the Bluffton (Indiana) News Banner.
  • Austin Ward joined Rivals to cover Ohio State. 
  • Billy Watson left his sports reporter position at The Hutchinson (Kansas) News.
  • Stephan Wiebe took the Washington State beat at the Lewiston (Idaho) Tribune. 
  • Jason Williams joined the Cincinnati Enquirer as sports columnist. 
  • Cleveland.com added Mohammad Ahmad, Andrew Gillis and Michael Niziolek to cover the Cincinnati Bengals. Gillis was previously with NBC Sports Washington. Niziolek was previously with The Roanoke Times. 
  • The Daily Gazette in Schenectady, New York, promoted sports editor Michael Kelly to director of content. Adam Shinder was promoted from sports reporter to deputy director of content. Ken Schott was promoted from associate sports editor to sports editor. 
  • The Daily Memphian named David Boyd as sports editor. Tim Buckley started a new role as the deputy sports editor/senior writer. He was previously with Tiger Rag. Parth Upadhyaya started covering Memphis Tigers basketball after previously being with the Beaver County (Pennsylvania) Times. 
  • The Dallas Morning News added Chris Amaya and Sean Collins as digital sports producers. Amaya was previously a sports reporter at the Odessa (Texas) American. Christina Huang started covering the Texas Longhorns. Myah Taylor started covering high school sports. 
  • The Denver Gazette and Colorado Springs Gazette added Kyle Frederickson to cover the Avalanche and Tyler King to cover college sports. Frederickson was previously with The Denver Post. Colorado Springsnamed Brent Briggeman as sports editor after Matt Wiley left that role. Hugh Johnson started covering high school sports. Chris Schmaedeke joined Denver as a digital sports editor after previously being sports editor for Prairie Mountain Media. Carson Field started covering college and high school sports. 
  • ESPN added Liz Loza for a fantasy and sports betting analyst position. Dan Mullen and Aaron Murray were added as college football analysts. Jess Sims joined “College GameDay” as a reporter. ESPN hired DJ Bien-Aime as a Houston Texans reporter, Stephen Holder to cover the Indianapolis Colts, and Katherine Terrell to cover the New Orleans Saints. Randy Moss left his role with the Monday Night Football pregame show, and it replaced him with Larry Fitzgerald and Robert Griffin III. Brock Osweiler and Takeo Spikes joined as college football analysts. Ryan S. Clark started covering the NHL. Pat McAfee joined ESPN “College GameDay” as a college football analyst. 
  • FOX added Allison Williams as a college football sideline reporter. Urban Meyer added as a college football analyst. Jenna Wolfe left FS1 as a broadcaster. FOX added Jason Benetti, who was previously with ESPN, as a broadcaster. Rowan Kavner started covering the Los Angeles Dodgers. Ben Arthur joined to cover the AFC South after previously covering the Titans for The Tennessean. Carmen Vitali joined to cover the NFC North. Christopher Lopez joined as manager for editorial alerts and newsletters. 
  • The Indianapolis Star added Tyler Tachman to cover the Indiana Hoosiers. Jenny Green retired as sports directo. 
  • The Las Vegas Review-Journal promoted Bill Eichenberger to assistant managing editor. Jim Barnes joined the Review-Journal as assistant sports editor. 
  • The Louisville (Kentucky) Courier Journal added Stephanie Kuzydym as a sports enterprise reporter. Tim Sullivan said he was let go from his sports columnist role. 
  • The Missoulian in Missoula, Montana, promoted Frank Gogola to senior sports reporter. Lucas Semb joined as the Montana Grizzlies reporter. He was previously with the Pensacola News Journal. Lance Hartzler left his sports reporter role. 
  • NBC named Jac Collinsworth and Jason Garrett as the broadcast team for Notre Dame football games. Matthew Berry took a role covering fantasy football. Crissy Froyd announced she was laid off. Tess Quinlan left to work for the NBA. 
  • NJ.com added Jake Aferiat to cover high school sports, Corey Annan to cover high school sports, Bob Brookover to cover the New York Giants, and Bridget Hyland as a sports reporter. 
  • The Osseo (Minnesota) Maple Grove Press added Dominic José Bisogno as a sports reporter. Sam Johnson left his sports editor role. 
  • PennLive.com added Johnny McGonigal to cover Penn State. He was previously with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Tom De Martini started covering sports full-time. 
  • The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette promoted Christopher Carter to cover Pitt and also added Noah Hiles to the Pitt beat. Hiles was previously with the Beaver County Times. Jason Mackey was promoted to senior sports writer/columnist role. It promoted multiplatform editor Rob Joesbury to associate sports editor. He replaces Brent Spanton, who retired after 25 years with the Post-Gazette. Andrew Destin began covering Penn State. 
  • The Ringer added Sheil Kapadia as an NFL writer and Lindsay Jones as a senior editor. Brian Barrett joined to cover Boston sports. He was previously with WEEI.
  • Rivals added James Benedetto and Tony Tsoukalas to cover Alabama, Drew King to cover Missouri, Bill Landis to cover Ohio State, and Curt Weiler to cover Florida State. Tsoukalas was previously with BamaCentral. Weiler was previously with the Tallahassee (Florida) Democrat. Rivals added Tyler Mansfield, Noah Taylor and Tyler Wombles to cover Tennessee. 
  • The Southern California News Group put Gilbert Manzano on the Los Angeles Rams beat. Kevin Modesti went from covering the Rams to focusing on SCNG newsletters. 
  • USA Today Sports Media Group added Brian Floyd as director of audience development and Nate Scott as senior director.  Cameron Jourdan joined Golfweek as a writer and digital producer; he previously covered high school sports for the Oklahoman. 
  • Yahoo added Jori Epstein and Charles McDonald to cover the NFL. Epstein was previously with USA Today. Jake Fischer joined as a senior NBA reporter after previously working at Bleacher Report. Dan Devine started working as a senior NBA writer after previously being with The Ringer.
