  • Andy Anders was hired as sports editor in Wetumpka (Alabama) Herald.
  • A. Sherrod Blakely joined Bleacher Reporter as an NBA reporter. 
  • Zack Borland left his role as sports editor at the Titusville (Pennsylvania) Herald. 
  • Parker Cotton joined the Bozeman (Montana) Chronicle as a sports reporter. 
  • Jenny Dial Creech started a new role at The Athletic NBA as deputy managing editor. 
  • Brett Dawson became sports editor of the Missourian in Columbia, Missouri. 
  • Alec Dietz was hired as sports editor at the Ellensburg (Washington) Daily Record. 
  • Greg Dudek became Boston Celtics and New England Patriots reporter for The Brockton (Massachusetts) Enterprise. 
  • George Ferguson went from sports editor to publisher at the Havre (Montana) Daily News. 
  • Ryan Ford became deputy sports editor at The Detroit Free Press. 
  • Jason Gallagher said he left The Ringer, where he did sports and entertainment coverage.
  • Rich Gannon parted ways with CBS, where he was an NFL analyst. 
  • Andrew Gillis changed roles at NBC Sports Washington from the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens to the Washington Capitals, Wizards, and football team. 
  • Jordan Hansen moved from being a sports reporter to a government reporter at the Missoulian in Missoula, Montana. 
  • Catie Harper joined Lee Enterprises as a sports page designer.
  • Jack Harris started covering the Los Angeles Angels for the Los Angeles Times. 
  • Noah Hiles became a sports reporter at the Beaver County Times in Beaver, Pennsylvania. 
  • Matthew Hooks took a sports reporter role at the Elgin (Texas) Courier. 
  • Alex Iniguez joined The Athletic NHL as a senior editor. He was previously with the Seattle Times. 
  • Bailey Johnson became a high school sports reporter at the Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch. 
  • Tom Kreager received a promotion to South Region high school sports editor for the USA Today Network. 
  • Shane Lantz became assistant sports editor of the Sioux City (Iowa) Journal. 
  • Paige Leckie joined MLB.com as a seasonal editorial producer. 
  • Lee Lewis received a promotion from sports editor to assistant managing editor for digital with the Republican-American in Waterbury, Connecticut.
  • JJ Marshall departed as sports editor at the Minden (Louisiana) Press-Herald. 
  • Meghan Montemurro joined The Chicago Tribune as Cubs reporter. She was previously with The Athletic. 
  • Emmanuel Morgan became a sports reporter at The New York Times. He was previously with the Los Angeles Times. 
  • Tom O’Toole announced his retirement as USA Today assistant managing editor for sports. 
  • Alison Overholt left ESPN as a senior vice president to become general manager for a multiplatform Oprah project.
  • Terez Paylor passed away. He had been an NFL reporter for Yahoo. 
  • Justin Pelletier joined McClatchy as Southeast Region deputy regional sports editor. 
  • Iliana Limon Romero became deputy sports editor at the Los Angeles Times. She was previously with the Orlando Sentinel.
  • Gabriel Stovall took the assistant sports editor role at the Louisville Courier Journal. 
  • Jimmy Watkins joined The Manhattan (Kansas) Mercury as a sports reporter. He was previously with the Sandusky (Ohio) Register. 
  • Billy Watson became sports editor at The Hutchinson (Kansas) News. 
  • Joel Whetzel joined the Tribune Chronicle in Warren, Ohio. He was previously sports editor of the Bradford (Pennsylvania) Era. 
  • Brian White started in the role of sports editor at The Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch. 
  • The Athletic added Leon Carter as editorial director for talent and development. He was previously with ESPN. Michael Sanserino became deputy managing editor/NFL at The Athletic. Mike Harris became senior managing editor for The Athletic’s universal desk, and Monica Thomas became deputy managing editor. Hannah Withiam took the managing editor of women’s basketball and college basketball role for The Athletic. Marc Carig became deputy managing editor, talent development. Craig Lancaster moved to the role of senior editor. 
  • The Athletic College Football named Jill Thaw as managing editor, Jorge Rojas (APSE second vice president) as deputy managing editor, and Daniel Shirley as senior editor.
  • The Athletic MLB hired Melissa Lockard as a staff editor. Maria Torres joined The Athletic to cover the Washington Nationals. 
  • MassLive.com added Brian Robb to cover the Boston Celtics. Souichi Terada joined MassLive.com to also cover the Celtics after previously being at the Kansas City Star, where he covered University of Missouri sports.
  • Sports Illustrated hired Max Goodman as New York Yankees reporter. Chris Herring joined Sports Illustrated as a senior writer. Ben Eagle left Sports Illustrated as director of digital projects. 
  • The Washington Post announced Dave Sheinin moving from national baseball reporter to doing sports enterprise along with Chelsea Janes becoming national baseball reporter after serving as a politics reporter. 
  • USA Today Sports Media Group hired Randy Kim as managing editor of sports wires. Hemal Jhaveri left her position as race and inclusion editor. 
  • Yahoo laid off baseball reporters Tim Brown and Mike Oz.
