  • Joe Andrews became sports editor at the Warrensburg (Missouri) Star-Journal. 
  • Guerin Austin parted ways with NESN as a Boston Red Sox reporter. 
  • David Barron accepted a buyout to leave the Houston Chronicle as sports and Olympics reporter. 
  • Vinny Benedetto became Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche reporter for the Denver Gazette. He previously covered high schools for the Colorado Springs (Colorado) Gazette.  
  • Sean Deveney took the job as NBA editor at Heavy. 
  • Doug Doughty retired as a sports reporter at The Roanoke (Virginia) Times. 
  • Jim Evans retired as sports reporter at The Oakland (Michigan) Press.
  • John Forslund was named play-by-play broadcaster for the Seattle Kraken. 
  • Lyndsey Fry joined the Arizona Coyotes as radio broadcast analyst. 
  • Aaron Gershon took the sports editor job at the Princeton (Indiana) Daily Clarion. 
  • Jessaca Giglio became sports editor of The Raleigh (North Carolina) News & Observer. 
  • Mitchell Gladstone joined the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette as a high school sports reporter. 
  • Mark Gonzales announced his departure as a baseball reporter at the Chicago Tribune. 
  • Victor Hensley became sports editor at the Chatham News and Record in Siler City, North Carolina. 
  • Peter Holland Jr. accepted a high school sports reporter position at the Kearney (Nebraska) Hub. 
  • Marisa Ingemi started covering the NWHL for Sportsnet. 
  • Drew Jones joined Bleacher Report as a reporter. 
  • Richard Justice took a buyout from MLB.com, where he was a columnist. 
  • Chelsea Ladd became a high school sports reporter at the Marshall County Tribune-Courier in Benton, Kentucky. 
  • Ted Leitner retired as San Diego Padres play-by-play broadcaster after 41 years. 
  • Evan Lepak joined The Goshen (Indiana) News as a high school and Notre Dame sports reporter. 
  • Kellie Love became sports editor at the Hartford (Connecticut) Courant. 
  • Brian A. Marschhauser went from sports editor to editor at The Katonah-Lewisboro (New York) Times and Yorktown (New York) News. 
  • Pat McLoone parted ways with the Philadelphia Inquirer, where he was sports managing editor. 
  • Kienan O’Doherty started as sports editor at the Perry County Tribune in New Lexington, Ohio. 
  • Leila Rahimi became a weekday host on WSCR-AM 670 in Chicago. 
  • Dave Randorf joined the Tampa Bay Lightning as play-by-play broadcaster. 
  • Jamie Ross took the sports editor role at The Globe and Mail in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. 
  • Lucas Seehafer started as sports editor of The Owatonna (Minnesota) People’s Press and The Waseca County News in Waseca, Minnesota. 
  • Jon Sciambi became the Chicago Cubs play-by-play broadcaster. 
  • Maggie Vanoni accepted a general assignment sports reporter position in Connecticut for Hearst. 
  • David Whitley started as a sports columnist at the Gainesville (Florida) Sun. 
  • Jason Whitlock is leaving Outkick the Coverage as a sports columnist. 
  • The Athletic added Peter Baugh to cover the Colorado Avalanche, Ian Mendes to cover the Ottawa Senators and the NHL and Hailey Salvian to cover the Calgary Flames. Britt Ghiroli was named MLB national reporter, and the company parted ways with MLB reporter Mark Saxon. The Athletic added Mike Sansone as a staff editor. 
  • The Forum in Fargo, North Dakota, hired Tom Larson as sports editor and John Miller as assistant sports editor. 
  • FOX named Christopher Lopez to an editorial programmer position. He was previously with ESPN. Greg Olsen announced that he is joining FOX as an NFL analyst. Urban Meyer left FOX as a college football analyst to become the Jacksonville Jaguars head coach. 
  • MLB.com made Adam Berry the Tampa Bay Rays reporter, Jake Crouse the Pittsburgh Pirates reporter, Kennedi Landry the Texas Rangers reporter, and Juan Toribio the Los Angeles Dodgers reporter. Berry previously covered the Pirates, and Toribio previously covered the Rays.  
  • The Minneapolis Star Tribune made Jeff Day its sports multiplatform editor. LaVell E. Neal III started as a sports columnist at the Minneapolis Star Tribune. He previously covered the Minnesota Twins. 
  • NBC Sports Chicago laid-off Chicago Bears reporters Cam Ellis and JJ Stankevitz and Chicago Blackhawks reporter Scott King
  • The New York Times hired Jonathan Ellis as a deputy sports editor. He was previously on the politics desk. Benjamin Hoffman became NYT baseball editor. 
  • The Paducah (Kentucky) Sun hired Wes Mayberry as sports editor. Edward Marlowe was laid off as Murray State sports reporter. 
  • The Sioux City (Iowa) Journal hired Zach James as sports editor. Justin Rust left the Sioux City (Iowa) Journal as sports editor to become managing editor of the Northwest Iowa Review in Sheldon, Iowa. 
  • The Washington Post added Molly Hensley-Clancy and Gus Garcia-Roberts to its sports investigative team.
