  • Joshua Axelrod was moved to a news copy editor position from being a sports reporter at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. 
  • Analis Bailey joined USA Today as a sports reporter. 
  • Paul Bowker became sports editor of The News in Kalona, Iowa. 
  • Michael Burwell took the sports editor job at The Bryan (Ohio) Times. He previously was sports editor at The Findlay (Ohio) Courier and Fostoria Review Times. 
  • Kaleb Carter left his role as Northern Illinois sports reporter at the DeKalb (Illinois) Daily Chronicle. 
  • Lucas Davis ended his tenure covering high school sports for The Joplin (Missouri) Globe. 
  • Tyler Davis joined the Detroit Free Press as an assistant sports editor. He was previously as the Des Moines Register. 
  • John Denton announced he was laid off by the Orlando Magic as a reporter. 
  • Julie Donaldson was hired by the Washington football team as the lead voice for its radio broadcasts. 
  • Russell Dorsey took the Chicago Cubs reporter position with the Chicago Sun-Times. 
  • Jon Dykstra became sports editor of the Maryville (Missouri) Daily Forum. 
  • Grady Garrett departed his high school sports reporter position at the Yuma (Arizona) Sun. 
  • Rob Harvey became the sports editor of the Citizen Tribune in Morristown, Tennessee.
  • Jacob Klinger left his sports reporter position at PennLive.com.  
  • Carie Kuehn announced her departure as sports editor at the Clinton (Iowa) Herald. 
  • Neel Madhavan took a sports reporter position at the Richmond County Daily Journal in Rockingham, North Carolina. 
  • Logan Murdock joined The Ringer to cover sports. He previously covered the Golden State Warriors for NBC Sports Bay Area. 
  • Edith Noriega took a reporter position covering the Dodgers with Think Blue LA. 
  • Rich O’Malley joined Deadspin as deputy editor. 
  • Jonas Pope IV became NC State reporter for the Raleigh (North Carolina) News & Observer. 
  • Jocelyn Sheets departed as sports editor at the Newton (Iowa) Daily News. 
  • Jesse Simonton left his role with Volquest.
  • George Stoia III accepted a position with the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette covering Arkansas State athletics. 
  • Pete Wallner announced his retirement as sports editor at MLive in Grand Rapids, Michigan. 
  • Jack Williams joined The Devils Lake Journal in Devils Lake, North Dakota, as a sports reporter. 
  • Dylan Young became assistant sports editor of the Citizen Tribune in Morristown, Tennessee. 
  • The Athletic added TuAnh Dam and Liz Finny as reporters. C.J. Holmes announced a move to cover Philadelphia Big 5 college basketball for The Athletic. Chantel Jennings returned to The Athletic to cover the WNBA. Josh Tolentino became Miami Dolphins reporter for The Athletic. Nick Kosmider became Denver Broncos reporter for The Athletic. 
  • The Boston Herald laid off Boston Celtics reporter Steve Bulpett and sports columnist Tom Keegan
  • The Bradford (Pennsylvania) Era added Patrick Kotnik as a sports reporter. Anthony Sambrotto left his position as sports editor at the Bradford Era. 
  • CBS announced its broadcasters for the UEFA Champions League will include game broadcasters Peter Drury and Clive Tyldesley. The studio hosts will include anchor Kate Abdo with analysts Jamie Carragher, Roberto Martinez, Micah Richards, Peter Schmeichel and Alex Scott. 
  • Front Office Sports added Amanda Christovich as a sports business reporter, Torrey Hart as a reporter, Vrushank Nayak took a data reporter position, A.J. Perez as a reporter, and Kenzie Possee as assistant editor. 
  • The Maryville (Tennessee) Daily Times promoted Troy Provost-Heron to sports editor. Jonathan Toye joined The Maryville (Tennessee) Daily Times to cover sports, and he was previously sports editor at the Kerrville (Texas) Daily Times. Corey Roepken left his role as sports editor at The Daily Times. 
  • SB Nation laid off features editor Louis Bien, NFL editor/reporter James Brady, NFL reporter Christian D’Andrea, copy editor Sam Eggleston, soccer reporter Kim McCauley, college football reporter Alex McDaniel.  
  • The Washington Post hired Jason Murray as assignment editor for the sports department after previously being with Syracuse.com. Nicki Jhabvala started covering the Washington football team for The Washington Post. Candace Buckner became sports and society enterprise writer.
