  • The Detroit News named Daren Tomhave as sports editor, and Rod Beard took the assistant sports editor role. 
  • ESPN added Troy Aikman and Joe Buck as NFL broadcasters for “Monday Night Football.” Both were previously with FOX. Brian Griese left ESPN to become the San Francisco 49ers quarterbacks coach. Blake Baumgartner joined ESPN to cover college football and the Big Ten. Britni Danielle joined ESPN’s Andscape as senior culture editor. 
  • The Los Angeles Dodgers added Adrian Gonzalez, Eric Karros, Jessica Mendoza, Jose Mota, and Dontrelle Willis as broadcasters for Spectrum SportsNet LA and radio broadcasts. Mota was previously with the Los Angeles Angels. 
  • MLB Network hired AJ Andrews, Keiana Martin, and Siera Santos as hosts. It hired Ruben Amaro Jr., Alex Avila, Cameron Maybin, Jake Peavy, Hunter Pence, and Bo Porter as analysts. 
  • At the Tulsa World, Kelly Hines started covering Oklahoma State and Eli Lederman started covering the Oklahoma Sooners.
