- Rana Cash took the news director role at the Savannah (Georgia) Morning News. She had been sports editor at the Louisville Courier Journal.
- Mike Freeman announced his departure as an NFL columnist for Bleacher Reporter.
- Drew Hill became the Memphis Grizzlies reporter for The Daily Memphian.
- Dan Huss departed his role as sports editor at the Eden Prairie News in Savage, Minn.
- Robert Irby joined the Independent Tribune in Concord, N.C., as a sports reporter.
- Maddie Lee announced she joined NBC Sports Chicago to cover the Cubs. She was previously with The Oklahoman covering the Oklahoma City Thunder.
- Stacy Long became sports editor of the Florence (Alabama) Times Daily. He previously worked at the Montgomery (Alabama) Advertiser. Long replaced Gregg DeWalt as sports editor.
- Bernie Miklasz was laid off as a sports reporter and host for 101 ESPN in St. Louis.
- Ed Odeven started his role as sports correspondent for Japan Forward.
- Rob Parker joined Deadspin as a weekly columnist.
- Colin Peters became a sports reporter at the Oskaloosa (Iowa) Herald.
- Nora Princiotti joined The Ringer to cover the NFL. She previously covered the New England Patriots for The Boston Globe.
- Jourdan Rodrigue started covering the Los Angeles Rams for The Athletic L.A.
- Bill Roseberry announced he was laid off as a sports reporter at Advantage in Godfrey, Ill.
- Tim Schmitt has been named Golfweek Magazine managing editor and USA Today Network’s golf coordinator.
- Peter Schmuck departed The Baltimore Sun as a sports reporter.
- Chris Schoonover announced he was laid off as sports editor at the Beauregard (La.) Daily News.
- Mike Sherman became executive editor of Oklahoma Watch. He previously was sports editor of the Tampa Bay Times.
- David Smith said he was laid off by The Athletic as a NASCAR reporter.
- Jason Whitlock’s contract expired with FOX, and it was not renewed.
- The Democrat and Chronicle in Rochester, N.Y., saw the departures of sports editor Steve Bradley and sports reporter Leo Roth.
