  • Eric Smith left his role covering the Minnesota Vikings for Vikings.com. 
  • Augusta Stone joined the Carolina Panthers as a team reporter. She previously covered South Carolina for The State. 
  • Maria Taylor was named the new host of NBC’s “Football Night in America.” 
  • Drew Terhall took the sports editor role at The Daily Advocate and Early Bird in Greenville, Ohio. 
  • Khari Thompson joined WEEI-FM 93.7 as a Patriots reporter. He was previously with Boston.com. 
  • Bailey Zubke became sports editor at the Sioux City (Iowa) Journal. 
  • 247 Sports saw Thomas Goldkamp depart from his role covering the Florida Gators and Keith Niebuhr leave his role covering Auburn. 
  • The Athletic added Tobias Bass as an associate editor for breaking news. Mark Eisenhauer and Mark Puleo joined as staff editors. 
  • DK Pittsburgh Sports added Chris Halicke to cover the Steelers and Pirates. Christopher Carter left his sports writer role. 
  • ESPN moved Sarah Barshop to cover the Los Angeles Rams after previously covering the Houston Texans. Reina Kempt joined ESPN as an NBA senior editor, and she was previously the Louisville Courier Journal sports editor. 
  • The Lincoln (Neb.) Journal Star saw the departures of sports editor Clark Grell and sports writer Steven M. Sipple
  • The Los Angeles Times named Iliana Limón Romero as sports editor/assistant managing editor for sports. Chris Stone went from executive sports editor to deputy managing editor. 
  • The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette promoted Mackenzie Rodrigues to audience development editor; hired Cameron Hoover, previously with DraftKings, as a digital producer; and hired Andrew Destin as a Penn State football and general assignment reporter. 
  • SF Gate named Dennis Young as sports editor. Alex Shultz left his sports editor role at SF Gate to co-edit its local section. 
  • USA Today Network South Region added JT Keith to oversee high school sports coverage in Mississippi and Louisiana along with HBCUs. Dani Mohr started as a trending reporter. Greg Hardwig took a planner role after previously being at the Naples (Fla.) Daily News.
