  • Richard Anderson announced his retirement as sports editor at the Rapid City (South Dakota) Journal.
  • Dennis Barker Jr. became the sports editor at the Standard Banner in Jefferson City, Tennessee. 
  • Danny Barletta took a sports reporter role at the Daily Chief Union in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. 
  • Michelle Beadle joined the San Antonio Spurs broadcast team. 
  • Hannah Bevis became a sports reporter at the Daily Hampshire Gazette in Northampton, Massachusetts. 
  • Bennett Conlin started covering sports gambling for Better Collective. He was previously with The Charlottesville (Virginia) Daily Progress.
  • Terry Crisp, a broadcaster for the Nashville Predators, announced plans to retire at the end of the 2021-22 season. 
  • Will Denner joined The Columbian in Vancouver, Washington, as a high school sports reporter.

  • Braden Fogal left his sports reporter position at the Southern Illinoisan in Carbondale, Illinois. 
  • Norma Gonzalez departed her position covering BYU for The Salt Lake Tribune in Salt Lake City, Utah.

  • ESPN added Paolo Uggetti to covering college football. Coley Harvey moved to ESPN as a reporter from FOX and Big Ten Network. Alisha Miller moved to be an NBA senior editor. Allison Williams left ESPN. Matt Vasgersian left ESPN’s “Sunday Night Baseball.” 
  • The Indianapolis Star added Nate Atkins to cover the Colts. He was previously with the Lansing (Michigan) State Journal. James Boyd started covering the Pacers for the Star. He previously covered the University of Illinois sports for the Decatur (Illinois) Herald & Review. Matthew VanTryon joined the IndyStar as a sports reporter. 
  • The New York Post added Jared Schwartz as a digital sports editor/producer and Ethan Sears as a general assignment reporter. Mark Fischer departed the New York Post to join Ad Age as a web editor. 
  • NFL Network added Kayla Burton and Bridget Condon as reporters. Michael Silver left NFL Network as a reporter. 
  • The Washington Post announced Les Carpenter moved from covering the Washington Football Team to covering the Olympics, Liz Clarke moved from covering the Washington Football Team to covering college sports, and Adam Kilgore shifted to a general assignment reporter. Andrew Golden joined WaPo to cover the Washington Football Team.
