  • Rachel Crader adopted a new role with Lee Enterprises as Director of Digital News Strategy. She was previously the Director of Digital Sports Strategy and National Sports Editor. 
  • Alan Cutler joins WLXG-AM 1300 and WLXG-FM 92.5 in Lexington, Kentucky, to broadcast “The Alan Cutler Show.”   
  • Matthew DeFranks announced he is joining the St. Louis Post-Dispatch to cover the Blues. He is leaving the Dallas Morning News. 
  • Evan Dennison started serving as sports editor at Linknky.com. He was previously with the Ledger Independent in Maysville, Kentucky. 
  • David Eckert joined the Clarion Ledger in Jackson, Mississippi, to cover University of Mississippi sports. He previously covered the University of Southern Mississippi for the Hattiesburg American.
  • Sean Ellertson took a buyout to leave his sports reporter role at the St. George (Utah) Spectrum & Daily News.
  • Casey Flynn began as sports editor at The Daily News in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. 
  • Skip Foreman took the role of Triad sports editor for Lee Enterprises overseeing the Winston-Salem (North Carolina) Journal and Greensboro (North Carolina) News and Record. 
  • Glenn Geffner parted ways with the Miami Marlins as radio broadcaster. 
  • Zack Goodrow joined The Gazette in Janesville, Wisconsin, as a sports reporter. 
  • Ben T. Grieco returned to being the sports editor at The Palladium-Times in Oswego, New York. 
  • Dustin Haney was named the sports editor at The Record Delta in Buckhannon, West Virginia. 
  • Emely Hernández left her sports reporter role at the Monroe (Louisiana) News Star. 
  • Ronnie Holcomb became the sports editor at The Marshall (Texas) News Messenger. 
  • Melissa Kramer departed her sports reporter role at The Times-Herald Record in Middletown, New York.

  • Tyler R. Tynes started as the sports culture critic at the Los Angeles Times. 
  • Scott Wilson started as sports editor at the Crossville (Tennessee) Chronicle. 
  • The Athletic hired Sabreena Merchant and Ben Pickman to cover women’s basketball. Steven Ginsberg was named editor of The Athletic. 
  • ESPN added Becky Hammon as NBA studio analyst. Sarah Spain announced the end of the “Spain and Fitz” show on ESPN radio. Jeff Saturday left ESPN as an NFL analyst. Herm Edwards joined ESPN as a football analyst. 
  • The Indianapolis Star moved Dustin Dopirak to cover the Indiana Pacers; he previously covered the Indiana Hoosiers. David Woods took a buyout from his sports reporter role. 
  • The Kansas City Royals had broadcaster Steve Physioc retire. Jake Eisenberg is scheduled to join the Royals broadcast team in 2023. 
  • The New York Times moved Alan Blinder to cover golf and James Wagner to cover international sports. 
  • NBC Sports parted ways with Alex Azzi along with golf broadcasters Gary Koch and Roger Maltbie. 
  • On3 added Stephen Wagner to cover the Miami Hurricanes. He was previously with the Las Cruces (New Mexico) Sun-News. Grant Ramey joined On3 to cover the Tennessee Vols, and he was previously with 247Sports. 
  • The San Angelo (Texas) Standard Times saw the departures of sports writers Charles Bryce and Amy McDaniel
