We are looking for a seasoned journalist to lead the high school sports coverage for The Clarion-Ledger and the Hattiesburg American. The successful candidate will strive to tell more than the same old bat-and-ball game stories, loves telling stories, and becomes an authority on the beat. Between the two sites, we cover nearly the entire state of Mississippi. The ideal candidate should have experience managing stringers and has the ability to coordinate our high school sports coverage. Candidates who stand out will have a keen eye for enterprise and unique stories. Digital storytelling is a top priority, so a comfort in that area is preferred.
