The South Bend (Ind.) Tribune, a member of the USA Today Network, has not one, but two exceptional opportunities to lead its University of Notre Dame football coverage to the next level.

You will cover one of the most prestigious and high-profile college sports programs in the country. The South Bend Tribune is seeking two writers who have a passion for college football and the digital skills, writing chops and knowledge to provide first-rate coverage of a national sports powerhouse.

Your work will drive the Tribune’s digital presence, through the NDInsider.com platform, and the content will be shared through multiple Gannett platforms, including USA Today and the Indianapolis Star.

The job entails a demanding mix of breaking news, analysis, enterprise reporting and feature coverage. You will break news, report on trends, cultivate sources and engage the readership. A strong social media presence is a must, as is the ability to work across multiple media platforms. You will be expected to record regular podcasts, make TV, and radio appearances as needed. Prior experience covering college sports is preferred. This is a chance to build your brand, produce outstanding sports journalism and make a mark nationally.

If you’re up to the challenge of this national beat, please apply through the Gannett careers portal at https://usatodaynetworkcareers.com/search-jobs/.  You can direct questions to South Bend Tribune sports editor Michael Wanbaugh at mwanbaugh@sbtinfo.com
