  • Ryan Ames joined The Daily Star in Oneonta, New York, as a sports reporter. 
  • Nate Atkins took a sports features and enterprise writer position with the Lansing (Michigan) State Journal. 
  • Jim Ayello moved from covering Indy Racing to covering the Colts for the Indianapolis Star. 
  • Nathan Baird joined Cleveland.com to cover Ohio State. He previously covered Purdue for the Lafayette (Indiana) Journal and Courier. 
  • Hayden Kyle Barber announced his new role covering Wichita State and Kansas State for the Wichita (Kansas) Eagle. 
  • Colten Bartholomew joined the Wisconsin State Journal in Madison, Wis., to cover Wisconsin football. 
  • Nolan Beilstein took a sports reporter position in Bluffton, S.C. He was previously with the Crookston (Minnesota) Times. 
  • Scott Billeck announced his new role covering the Winnipeg Jets for the Winnipeg Sun. 
  • John Bohnenkamp joined Hawkeyes Mic as an Iowa football and basketball reporter. 
  • David Brandt moved from covering sports in Mississippi to Phoenix for The Associated Press. 
  • Shelby Burgett became sports editor of The Rushville (Illinois) Times. 
  • Levi Burnfin departed The Garden City (Kansas) Telegram as sports editor to become a teacher. 
  • Michael Burwell took the sports editor position at The Courier in Findlay, Ohio. 
  • Kyle Cajero stepped down as sports editor at the Daily Bee in Sandpoint, Idaho. 
  • Sunnie Clahchischiligi announced her departure as a sports writer at the Navajo Times in Window Rock, Ariz. 
  • Donnell Coley became sports editor of The Richmond County (North Carolina) Daily Journal. 
  • Matt Daniels left the Citizen Tribune in Morristown, Tenn., as a sports reporter. 
  • Travis David joined The Herald in Jasper, Ind., as sports editor. 
  • Patrick Donohue became sports editor of The Daily Nonpareil in Council Bluffs, Iowa. 
  • Taylor Fieux took a digital content producer position with NESN.

  • Robert Gagliardi announced his departure as sports editor at WyoSports to become associate editor of Wyoming Wildlife magazine.  
  • Andrew Gillis joined NBC Sports Washington to cover the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles. He was previously with The Bryan (Ohio) Times. 
  • Kevin Graeler became sports editor at the Columbia (Missouri) Daily Tribune. 
  • Jared Greenleaf stepped down as sports editor at the Cheboygan (Michigan) Daily Tribune.
  • Megan Greenwell announced her departure as Deadspin editor-in-chief. She took an editor position at Wired. 
  • Giana Han started covering Auburn athletics for AL.com. 
  • Coley Harvey joined FOX Sports and the Big Ten Network. He was previously with ESPN. 
  • Joe Henderson left the Tampa Bay Tribune after 45 years covering sports. 
  • Michael Herbert joined the Times Daily in Florence, Ala., to cover North Alabama athletics. 
  • Mark Herrmann announced his departure from Newsday, where he’d been since 1983 as a sports reporter. 
  • Brett Hudson started covering the Alabama beat for the Tuscaloosa (Alabama) News. 
  • Sydney Jones accepted a multimedia sports reporter position with WAOW. 
  • Jackson Kane took the regional sports editor position at The Sigourney (Iowa) News-Review and Keota Eagle. 
  • Jeff Kerr announced he joined CBS Sports as an NFL writer. 
  • Tim Leible joined The Sumter (South Carolina) Item as a sports reporter. 
  • Jared MacDonald took a sports reporter position at The Daily News in Bowling Green, Ky. He was previously with the Ledger Independent. 
  • Scott Mansch moved to The Globe of Worthington, Minn., to cover sports. He was previously with the Great Falls (Montana) Tribune. 
  • Steven Marcus revealed his departure as a sports writer at Newsday after 47 years. 
  • Katie McInerney joined The Boston Globe as assistant sports editor. 
  • Kevin Modesti took over the Los Angeles Rams beat for the Southern California News Group. 
  • Pete Nakos announced he joined the Valley News in Lebanon, N.H., as a sports reporter.

  • Alexa Philippou joined the Hartford Courant to cover Connecticut women’s basketball.
  • Michael Pope took over as sports editor at The Covington News in Newton County, Ga. 
  • Khobi Price started working for the South Florida Sun Sentinel covering FAU and Miami sports. 
  • Jacob Prothro took a sports reporter position at the Wichita Falls (Texas) Times Record News.
  • Alex Reimer announced his departure as a sports broadcaster at WEEI. 
  • David Roberts accepted the sports editor position at the Forsyth County News in Cumming, Ga. 
  • Cameron Salerno joined the Sacramento Bee to cover high school sports.

  • Tom Schad moved from covering breaking news to the NFL for USA Today. 
  • Noah Shatzer became a sports writer at the Cherokee County (North Carolina) Scout. 
  • Dylan Sherwood joined the Salina (Kansas) Journal as a sports reporter. He was previously with the Emporia Gazette. 
  • Brett Sommers left his sports writer role at the Traverse City (Michigan) Record-Eagle.

  • Gabriel Stovall announced his departure as sports editor at The Covington (Georgia) News.

  • Alex Tichenor joined The Daily Record in Wayne County, Ohio, as a sports writer. 
  • Andre LaVista Toran started working for the Montgomery (Alabama) Advertiser as a enterprise/feature sports reporter. 
  • Dylan Trimpe became sports editor of The Seymour (Indiana) Tribune. 
  • William Whisler took a sports reporter position at the Gettysburg (Pennsylvania) Times. 
  • Kevin White announced he accepted a buyout from the Omaha (Nebraska) World-Herald. He’s been a sports writer for the last 28 years. 
  • Brant Wilkerson-New moved to become publisher of Heels Maven.  
  • Jeff Yoder became sports editor at The Fayette (Missouri) Advertiser. 
  • Alex Zietlow joined The Rock Hill (South Carolina) Herald as a sports reporter and editor. 
  • Scott Zucker became sports editor of the Sun Newspapers in Port Charlotte, Fla. 
  • Curtis Zupke joined the Los Angeles Times sports copy desk.
  • The Athletic put John Glennon on the Tennessee Titans beat and added Joe Rexrode as a columnist for the state of Tennessee. Nick Baumgardner joined The Athletic covering Michigan, Michigan State and the Detroit Lions as a writer/columnist. Andy McCullough joined The Athletic to cover baseball. Rexrode was previously with The Tennessean. Baumgardner was previously with The Detroit Free Press. Added Dave Scipione previously of Sports Illustrated. Bob McGinn joined to cover the Green Bay Packers and NFL. Greg Rosenstein, previously of ESPN, joined The Athletic to cover boxing.  
  • The Dallas Morning News added Sam Blum to cover SMU and the Texas Rangers. He was previously with AL.com covering Auburn. Michael Gehlken joined the Morning News to cover the Dallas Cowboys.
  • The Desert News in Salt Lake City saw the retirement of columnist Brad Rock after 40 years at the publication. Jay Drew moved to The Desert News from The Salt Lake Tribune and will remain covering BYU sports. 
  • ESPN added Ed Werder to cover the NFL. ESPN hired Jack Del Rio as an NFL analyst. Sierra Morgan joined ESPN to work with SportsCenter, NFL Prime Time and ESPNW. Rosalyn Gold-Onwude took some hosting responsibilities on First Take. 
  • The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review named Bill Hartlep as sports editor. Jonathan Bombulie took over as assistant sports editor at the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review where he previously covered hockey. 
  • The Ringer promoted Mallory Rubin to editor-in-chief. Ryen Russillo moved to work full-time for The Ringer. He was previously with ESPN for 14 years.  
  • The Salt Lake Tribune added Julie Jag as Olympics and enterprise writer and Norma Gonzalez took over the BYU athletics beat. Jag previously was sports editor at the Santa Cruz (California) Sentinel. Gonzalez previously covered high schools for the Tucson (Arizona) Daily Star.
