Membership in APSE for The Undefeated has been approved by APSE’s executive committee
As required by  bylaws, a notice of The UnDefeated’s application was posted on the APSE website for 10 days before a vote was taken.
Here is a description from Editor in Chief Kevin Merida:
“The Undefeated is an ESPN digital platform whose mission is to explore the intersections of race, sports and culture. The tagline: Not Conventional. Never Boring. Our coverage is a mix of news, commentary, features, enterprise, video and other innovative storytelling. We have a daily anchor blog, ‘All Day,’ and an edgy daily rundown, ‘What Had Happened Was.’ We have a weekly podcast. We put on live events. We have hosted two televised town halls, one featuring President Obama, as well as a generational basketball discussion featuring Oscar Robertson at the new National Museum of African American History and Culture and a symposium on black female athletes at Morgan State University. We are currently following the Howard University basketball team through its season, in an all-access weekly video series, ‘View from the Hilltop.'”
The site’s content is organized around four verticals: Sports, Culture, HBCUs and The Upflift. The Undefeated is based in Washington, D.C., with a staff of approximately 40, about 30 of whom are located in D.C.
